Program Support

Outreach and Support Services administers a comprehensive system of accountability procedures for the use of Applied Behavior Analysis throughout the Eden Services. This includes functional analysis of inappropriate behaviors, program development, clinical review by a Behavior Management Committee and ethical review by a Human Rights Committee, ensuring that all techniques are validated and programs are monitored for maximum efficacy.

All new Eden staff members complete a comprehensive orientation and training program in Applied Behavior Analysis and social learning theory. Continuing staff receive regular performance evaluations as well as periodic feedback. All staff are required to attend four inservices and one advanced training day during the year, and most also achieve certification in first aid and CPR.

Ongoing recruitment efforts aimed at attracting new professionals to autism services and to Eden are an additional component of program support. Recruitment channels include position profiles on Eden's website, career conferences and job fairs, public service announcements and regular communication with other agencies and organizations.
